About Northpointe Integrative

Northpointe Integrative is a group mental health practice located in the heart of The Capital Region.  Its conceptualization and vision were born out of a drastic need for quality mental health providers in The Capital Region, as well as the desire to support therapists on their own journey of personal and professional growth and development.

    What insurances do you accept?

    • Blue Shield of Northeastern New York
    • Capital District Physician’s Health Plan (CDPHP)
    • Fidelis
    • Martin’s Point
    • Private Pay is available at a rate of $150 for an intake and $125 for each therapy session thereafter. All clients should follow up directly with their insurance company to determine reimbursement benefits.

For many people, therapy is the best investment they could ever make.  It’s a lot like getting the correct eyeglass prescription as it can change the way a person views the world and dramatically improve life satisfaction.  That being said, therapy requires a commitment of time, emotional vulnerability, and financial resources.  If you want to learn, grow, and heal, or make a good life better….therapy can be the catalyst to open up a new world and a new outlook on life.  Consider the investment well worth it.

What information do I need to be aware of if I am paying privately and/or if I do NOT wish to utilize my insurance when paying for services?

In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, we are required to notify all healthcare consumers of your Federal rights and protections against “surprise billing”.  This Act requires that we notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by a non-participating provider and provide options to receive care from an in-network provider if one is available.  Additionally, we are required to provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services for the duration of treatment. It is difficult to determine the true length of treatment for mental health care, but we will make every effort to provide an estimate based on the average length of treatment. Please click on the link below to review the formal notice detailing the No Surprises Act before calling to schedule an appointment.

How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, please send us a message below -or- you can email us at hello@northpointeintegrative.com.  Please be sure to include the following information in your email:

    • Full Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Insurance Carrier
    • Phone Number
    • Email Address
    • A brief statement about what has led you to reach out for therapy.

Once this information is reviewed, you will receive an email from “TherapyPortal” which will prompt you to create an account and complete various intake documents.  Don’t worry…this only takes a few minutes!  We will then reach out to you to schedule your first appointment.  It’s that easy!!!

I’ve never been to counseling before.  What can I expect?

All appointments are 55-60 minutes in length. Your first appointment will provide you with an opportunity to share what has led to your desire to pursue therapy, and it will also be an opportunity to determine if you are a good fit for the clinician you are working with, and for the clinician to determine if you are a good fit for her or him.  The length of therapy differs with each person which, together with your therapist, you will evaluate throughout the therapeutic process. Ultimately, therapy is complete when you feel confident that you’ve developed the skills and tools to cope with the emotional challenges that brought you to therapy, to begin with.
