Tina Lyn, MS, MHC-P is a dedicated and compassionate mental health clinician who brings both academic expertise and lived experience to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Social and Personality Psychology from the University at Albany and later pursued a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With nearly a decade of experience teaching psychology, Tina’s clinical practice is deeply informed by her background in education and her commitment to lifelong learning.

Tina approaches counseling from a trauma-informed perspective, grounded in the belief that healing begins within safe, supportive relationships. Her work draws on talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), all while integrating a contemplative and holistic framework to support clients’ overall well-being.

Central to her work is the therapeutic relationship. Tina strives to create a non-judgmental, compassionate, and present-centered space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She encourages clients to speak from their most authentic selves, and she meets them there with empathy, openness, and respect.

Rather than focusing solely on pathology, Tina emphasizes each client’s strengths and supports them in identifying and removing barriers to growth. She works collaboratively with clients to explore how unresolved relational wounds, such as childhood neglect, emotional abuse, attachment trauma, or relationship conflict, may continue to shape their inner narratives. Through this work, she helps clients begin to rewrite those narratives in ways that promote healing.

Tina believes that clients already hold the answers they need; counseling simply helps bring those answers into focus. She believes that every client has the ability to create a more peaceful life, and feels honored to support through this part of their journey.

Outside of her clinical work at Northpointe Integrative, Tina remains committed to her own self-care and personal growth. She enjoys practicing yoga, quiet contemplation, reading, and long walks with her two Cavaliers, Love and True. She also finds serenity in warm cups of coffee joy through quality time with friends and family.
