Stephanie Railey, LMSW, received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and English from SUNY Geneseo. Prior to graduating, she enjoyed interning as a counselor for children who experienced trauma, as well as volunteering support for families and patients who were receiving hospice care. At the start of her career, she found her love of social work through clinical interviewing as a psychiatric research assistant.
Stephanie furthered her education by receiving her Master of Social Work Degree from New York University, during which she had the opportunity to provide case managment support for individuals encountering housing instability, as well as provide psychotherapy to children and adults via telehealth services. Stephanie’s post-graduate career centered on supporting clients in various clinical settings, including outpatient, school-based, and equine-assisted psychotherapy practices.
Stephanie has a passion for working with children and adults who are coping with concerns such as Anxiety, Depression, grief/bereavement, trauma, and adjustment to life transitions. She feels that it is a privilege to be invited into people’s healing journeys and strives to create a safe, comforting environment. She enjoys incorporating evidence-based methods that most appropriately fit clients’ unique needs and preferences, including: cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, trauma-informed, mindfulness, somatic, solution-focused, and person-centered approaches.
