Sheena S. Mammen, LMSW received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Nyack College. She later went on to pursue her Master’s in Social Work at SUNY Stony Brook University.

She started her career working with adults and children with intellectual and developmental delays/disabilities. In this role, she gained knowledge and experience in applying the psychological principles of learning theory in a systematic way to modify behavior.  She furthered her clinical skills while working with individuals and families struggling with various mental health diagnoses in a Community Mental Health setting. She enjoys working with children, adults, first-generation immigrants, and individuals of varying cultural backgrounds. She has experience with treating individuals who struggle with depression, relationship issues, anxiety, ADHD, social skills challenges, emotional regulation, anger management issues, and trauma.

Sheena is passionate about providing quality mental health services to clients that are both culturally competent and strengths-based. She wants her clients to feel empowered by their experience in therapy, in order to create sustainable change in their lives.  Sheena aims to create a safe environment for her clients to feel at ease and be able to process their feelings, and she values personal and professional growth and development.”
